July 11, 2010 - Name that Bird

Anyone know what this is? My sister, who is a bird expert, is still 'getting back to me' on this. She is pretty sure that, in addition to it being somewhat annoyed, it is a juvenile. That is all I have. So....anyone? By the way - that red eye creeps me out!

My sister (a.k.a. "The Bird Lady" and sometimes "The Weather Channel") has identified this lovely critter as an adult Eastern Towhee. She also commented that he looks quite irritated. I have to agree! :)
